At the Burton Academy, we know that school attendance matters. Pupils who attend school regularly and on time are far more likely to make the progress that they need for further employment, training and education.
We also recognise that our pupils are most safe when they are at school, and that pupils who are not at school are vulnerable to harm.
For both of these reasons, we support and challenge all parents and carers to ensure that their children maintain a minimum attendance rate of 95%.
Our Attendance Improvement Strategy makes clear what we will do to support and challenge parents and carers with regard to school attendance and punctuality. If you have any further questions for our team, please speak to Sarah Harris, who is the academy's Lead for Behaviour and Attendance, on 01803 326330.
